This site is dedicated to the memory of Dave.

Dave and i met when he was 16 and i was 15 at my local youth club, in Abbots Langley. Dave was born in Watford on February 08 1956, he had three sister's and seven brothers. Fishing and cars were a big part of his life and the music he loved was Motown, and especially Stevie Wonder .Dave and i married and moved to Welwyn Garden City with our son Darren in 1977, and in 1979 we had our 2nd son David . Dave was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer in April 2012, our world was turned upside down we were told that he only had 10% chance of survival or 45% going private so with the help of the company Dave worked for "Grange of Welwyn " we set up the "David Peake Appeal". To help kick start the fund our 2 son's and work collegues did The 3 Peak Challenge in 24 hrs, we also had a fun day at our local pub , golfing day with evening meal at Brocket Hall , a fishing match (which Dave fished i might add). Family, friends and work collegue's worked tirelessy helping to raise money for Dave's treatment in which i can not thank them enough. Sadly i lost my Dave on the 29th Dec 2012 he put up a brave fight and he was so strong he attended all the fund raising events so he could thank everyone personally. Dave is loved by family and friends and will be remembered and sadly missed .

Marcia’s Tribute When I first met Dave, it was an embarrassing moment! (Need I say no more!) I didn't think he thought much of me, as he was very quiet, (or so I thought!). Dave soon got to know me, and welcomed me into the family with opened arms, and he couldn't get rid of me then! Dave, u were like my own dad, us holidaying together, round yours for BBQs and always making sure my glass was full! I remember a specific day when things weren't so good, you came round and reassured me that it would be ok, and your reassurance made me feel better, just by a few simple words from you. I'm so proud and honoured that I had you in my life, not only as a father-in-law, but a fantastic and caring dad to my husband, your son David, and Darren, and a granddad. I will take my memories of you Dave and share them with Jaida, Lennon and Louie. I will miss your wit and your particular funny ways. Love you always, your loving daughter-in-law Marcia
